• a) Full Council approved a Cabinet recommendation in October 2018 to buy the Five Acre site for £1. Does the Council now own the Five Acres site?

• b)   The six month business rate exemption applying from the time the site was vacated has now almost expired. Can the Leader update councillors on plans for future development and any decision to demolish the existing buildings?

• Concerns were raised in the national press this week that councils across the UK May be paying too much for commercial property. The Government is also concerned about councils investing funds in other council areas.  Will this change the Cabinet’s current plans to invest £5m of this Council’s funds in commercial property?
